
In many parts of the world, beads are used for symbolic purposes; prayer, currency, gaming and as pace counting. Pace Counting is a manual counting tool used to keep track of distance travelled by sliding beads on bracelets. Team Elliott Education Lifelong Learners were inspired by Mardi Gras beads for this Bead-u-t-i-ful creative design.

Hi Tech Gadget sessions offer residents hands-on experiences with technology. Apple iPads and MacBooks provide opportunities to play games, listen to music, explore the internet, email families, create documents and share “tech connect” moments.

Appreciating the artistic style of Vincent Van Gogh, participants of Team Elliott Education’s Lifelong Learning program created their interpretations of Van Gogh’s Starry Night. Van Gogh’s original Starry Night has been on permanent display at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City since 1941. It is valued at over $100 million!
