Grrrrrrr!!! Create Emotion!
During Creative Design sessions, residents in several communities demonstrated “Expressionism.”
Expressionism originated in Germany at the beginning of the 20th century. Artists use bright colors like red, yellow, blue and green to evoke emotions such as happiness, anger and angst in their paintings. Expressionistic artists seek to show meaning or emotional experience rather than physical reality.
Can you feel the emotions in these creations? “The Scream” was recently sold for $119.9 million at the Sotheby’s auction in NYC. It is the 1893 creation of Expressionist, Edvard Munch and his most famous work. It represents the universal anxiety of modern man.
